The ISWC Speed World Championship 2026 — better known as the Prince of Speed — delivered another week of intense racing on the legendary flat-water course at La Palme, France (27 April – 6 May 2026). Conditions were demanding throughout the event, with winds that never made things easy, but the world’s fastest windsurfers answered the challenge. And standing proudly on the third step of the podium was Cyril Evrard (BEL-250), CHS Wind Solutions team rider — claiming his second consecutive 3rd place at the Worlds.

Back on the Podium: Two Years Running
At just 22 years old, Cyril Evrard is cementing his position among the world’s elite speed windsurfers. His bronze medal at the 2026 ISWC Speed World Championship is no fluke — it mirrors exactly the result he achieved the year before, proving the Belgian rider’s consistency at the very highest level. Racing under the sail number BEL-250 on his Black Cobra foil board with CHS Challenger Sails, Cyril navigated the tricky conditions at La Palme with the composure of a seasoned champion.
The Prince of Speed course at La Palme is one of the most prestigious speed venues in the world. Set in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, the lagoon offers the flat, sheltered water that speed specialists need to push their equipment — and their nerve — to the absolute limit. This year’s fleet was described as exceptionally strong, making Cyril’s podium finish all the more impressive.

Racing in Tough Conditions
Wind was the defining storyline of this year’s championship. The breeze was inconsistent across the competition window, challenging every competitor to make the most of each gust. Cyril’s ability to adapt, manage his equipment and execute clean runs under pressure was key to securing his place on the podium.
Happy to got this podium in such a strong fleet — wind was not the best but we had to deal with it. Second year in a row getting this place; next year we go for more!
— Cyril Evrard, BEL-250

CHS Wind Solutions: Proud of Our Rider
Cyril’s campaign at La Palme is a testament to the performance of CHS equipment at the highest level of competition. Racing with CHS Challenger Sails and the CHS RSS100 carbon mast, he demonstrated that the right equipment makes a real difference when fractions of a knot separate the podium places. The CHS team is incredibly proud of Cyril and looks forward to supporting him as he targets the top step in 2027.
