Charlotte Philip Takes 1st Youth at the 2026 IFCA Fin Slalom Europeans
CHS rider Charlotte Philip is 1st Youth and 5th overall in the women’s fleet at the 2026 IFCA Fin Slalom European Championships in Hvide Sande, Denmark.
Two CHS riders, one weekend on Lake Garda. At the second stop of the Austria Slalom Cup 2026, held at Circolo Surf Torbole on 19–20 September, Daniele Benedetti (ITA-60) finished 3rd overall in the foil fleet, and youth rider Gabriele Prosperi (ITA-278) finished 7th overall and 2nd Youth.
The foil fleet counted 45 riders from nine nations, with World Cup names at the front. Matteo Iachino won the event and Fabian Wolf took second. Saturday brought steady wind and six races. On Sunday the breeze was lighter, but it was enough for four more. With ten races sailed, each rider could discard their three worst scores.
Daniele’s weekend began with a DNS in the opening race. From there, every result that counted was a 4th or better: a race win on Saturday, three 3rd places, two 4ths and a 2nd in the final race on Sunday. He closed on 19.7 net points, third behind Iachino and Wolf.
I’m stoked with my performance, and most of all it has been a fun weekend competing with some of the best guys.

Back in April Daniele won the first stop of the Austria Slalom Cup on the same water. Now he has a podium at the second one too.
Gabriele got stronger as the event went on. After a 13th in the first race he finished inside the top ten in eight of the next nine, and his best result came on Sunday with a 5th place. He finished 7th overall on 51 net points and 2nd in the Youth division, behind Denmark’s Kasper Friis Nielsen.
There is no time to rest. Gabriele is now heading to Germany for the PWA World Cup in Sylt, his first PWA event. He had been building towards it all season, racing the overall category at home to line up against the best riders on the Italian tour.
I want to use these kind of races to prepare as well as possible for my first PWA event in Sylt.
