At the IFCA Grand Slam World Championships in Leucate, France (22–26 April 2026), CHS team rider Charlotte Philip didn’t just compete — she finished 3rd in the Foil Youth Women category, securing a world podium at one of the most competitive windsurfing events of the season.
The same event also saw her claim 5th place in the Fin Youth Women division. Two disciplines, two top-5 results, at a world championship. That’s not luck — that’s an athlete developing seriously.

World-level competition from day one
The Mondial du Vent brought together 162 athletes from 20 nations competing for 10 world titles. The Foil Youth Women fleet featured talent from across Europe and beyond, racing in conditions that tested both technical skill and nerve — light and shifting winds for much of the week, with the Tramontana arriving late to deliver the decisive racing on the final day.

A new generation built for foil
Charlotte is part of the generation of riders who are growing up with foil as their natural element. It’s a discipline that demands a different kind of precision: the equipment needs to be balanced, responsive, and consistent across a wide wind range. These are not small requirements. This is exactly the challenge our foil sail development is built around.

The season is only just beginning
Her result at Leucate is a clear signal: the youth riders in the CHS family are moving in the right direction. And the season is only just beginning — more is coming. We’re watching her closely, and proud to have her representing CHS on the world stage.
